Yoga is a path to becoming whole. It is so much more than exercise, though most of us got introduced to this ancient practice because of an injury or felt the need for a different kind of movement to compliment our stressful lives. These Yoga classes are not about copying a teacher at the front of the room, wondering or judging why you can’t do what they are doing, they are about you and finding freedom of movement in your body.
Inviting your body to release tensions, stress, habits and patterns to find steadiness and ease in the postures, not to reach a perfect pose or goal. The Yoga practice is to free the body, not to conquer it. The tensions begin to open naturally and give way to a new flexibility.
My role as a teacher is to guide us through this process seeing each person as an individual and making specific adjustments for your body. Classes will vary from week to week exploring different parts of our bodies, paying attention to the inner body, finding the breath and how it may help us move and relax, inquiring into habits, patterns, emotions, and thought process through meditation.
EveryBody can do it!
As long as you do not live
totally in the body, you do
no live totally in the Self.
